• VOVINAM USA - has been inducted as a council member of the World Vovinam Federation - We are organizing a team to participate in its world cup in July 2009. 
  

• Please welcome a new member to the US Vovinam Federation:  VOVINAM-VVD, Charlotte, North Carolina!  This chapter is led by Senior Instructor Giang Nguyen.

• October 16, 2008) Master Linh Thai - was awarded with the Community Builder Service Award presented by Seattle Chief of Police.

• Vovinam - Vietvodao USA (US Vovinam Federation) earned non-profit status with the State of Washington effective 01/23/2008.  This is the first important step toward becoming a member of the US Olympic Committee.

• Effective December 24th, 2007, Vovinam-Việt Võ Đạo, USA successfully applied and received recognition from the US Treasury Department (IRS) as the United States Vovinam Federation - the governing body of Vovinam in the United States of America. 

• VOVINAM-VietVoDao, USA will be a national martial arts federation in 2008
